Leadership Development Program

What is the Leadership Development Program?

The Leadership Development Program (LDP) explores leadership in two different aspects.

The Leaders In Training (LIT) aspect is a leadership training program for students entering 10th to 12th grade, OR just graduated in the Spring. Our LIT program is a week long, intensive focused on training high school students to be Biblical leaders in their communities, schools, and churches by using their specific strengths and gifts. Through team-building challenges, serving in various areas of camp, training sessions, an off-site service trip and personal reflective time with God, our LIT students have the opportunity to begin the journey of being the leader God has designed them to be.

The Jr. Cabin Leader (JCL) aspect is a leadership training program for students entering 10th to 12th grade, OR just graduated in the Spring, who have already completed LIT . In order to register for this session, you must first complete the JCL application and be accepted into the program. Once accepted, you will receive the password to register. This is a four day training session for teenagers who aspire to be future camp leaders and want to spend part of their summer impacting campers for Christ. During JCL Training sessions, students will learn how to be an excellent Biblical Cabin Leader through educational seminars, hands-on activities and challenges, and shadowing Summer Staff. If you successfully complete your JCL Training sessions, you can be a JCL serving in cabins for up to two weeks this summer. JCLs shadow Summer Staff for a week of camp and assist them in their cabins. You will support and assist the Cabin Leader with the campers and get hands-on experience in summer camp leading.
