GRACIA

I am originally from a small town outside of Sioux City, Iowa. I grew up on a farm where I loved spending time with my family and being outside. I went to college up in the Twin Cities at the University of Northwestern, St. Paul where I double majored in Elementary Education and Spanish Education. This school year I will be starting my teaching career at Campbell Elementary in Lincoln teaching 3rd grade. I am very excited to get to shine Christ’s light in a public school and learn how to be a better teacher each and every day.

I have been blessed to have been raised in a wonderful Christian family, so I grew up going to church, many church activities, and summer camp as a child. I decided to follow Christ at a young age and since then my testimony has been one of God showing His faithfulness to me through both exciting new chapters and through difficulties. My faith grew a lot as I had to make it my own when I went to college. Through college and working at Camp Rivercrest the past few years, I learned how important it is to be surrounded by a Christian community - other believers who can encourage and support me. Something I am asking for God to continually work on in my life is for Him to give my eyes to see people the way He does and to live out every moment of my life in a way that declares the Gospel.

I enjoy reading, playing games, and drinking coffee with my friends and family. I also enjoy being active and outside - going for runs, playing basketball and volleyball, improving my pickleball game, disc golfing with my husband, and playing all the camp games.
